Hellman news: Holiday giving

Bob Hellman presents donation to Lynn Neill, Family Support Worker at the Dr. Walter Cunningham School for Excellence.

Here at Hellman, we’re committed to giving back to the community. For many years, one of the causes our agency has been heavily committed to is the Partner in Education program at the Dr. Walter Cunningham School for Excellence in Waterloo, Iowa.  One of the most notable projects was the construction of Hellman Field in 2008. Located alongside the school, the ballpark serves as a neighborhood hub for local baseball and softball programs.

Hellman is also proud to step up to the plate for the school’s Adopt-A-Family program. For the last four years, during the holiday season, families with children at the Dr. Walter Cunningham School for Excellence submit requests for assistance. This year, the school received more requests for assistance than ever before. So, the Hellman staff took action and launched internal fundraisers, from bake sales to a personal donation drive.

To show their appreciation, the school treated the Hellman office to a performance by student carolers just before Christmas. Meaningful music to all of our ears!
